At this four-bedroom semi-detached home in Esher, Surrey, Thames Design & Build replaced an existing conservatory with a generous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space across the full rear of the property. The extension features a pitched zinc roof with three large mechanically opening rooflights, drawing natural light deep into the space. Full-width anthracite aluminium sliding doors span nearly 4 metres across the rear, opening directly onto a newly laid porcelain patio and garden.
Inside, the kitchen features bespoke hand-painted navy blue shaker cabinetry with brushed brass hardware, a large central island with waterfall quartz worktop and breakfast bar seating, and herringbone oak parquet flooring throughout. Underfloor heating runs beneath the entire extension. The adjoining snug opens through an internal archway, finished with bold teal walls, statement pendant lighting, and a mix of velvet and leather seating. A fully fitted utility room with matching navy cabinetry, a Belfast sink, and integrated appliances completes the ground floor. From structural design through to the final finishing touches, the full scope — including all trades, plastering, decorating, and external landscaping — was delivered by our in-house team.
