This project involved a full transformation of the ground floor to create a modern, open-plan living space. Works included the removal of internal walls, installation of a new kitchen, upgraded windows and doors, and the addition of underfloor heating throughout. The result is a bright, spacious and functional layout designed to enhance everyday living, delivering a high-quality finish tailored to the client’s vision.
We engaged Thames Design and Build to undertake alterations to the ground floor area of our house. This included the removal of various walls to create an open plan living area, and the installation of a new kitchen, windows and doors, and underfloor heating.
Thames Design and Build were great to work with and they were ahead of schedule throughout the project. Their team was sympathetic to the impact of the works whilst we remained living in the house, and we were pleased with the quality of their workmanship.
The team is well structured, and communication was good. We were always able to discuss issues either with Fred, the site manager, or Paul Merifield, and agree solutions quickly. The final results are fantastic and have delivered exactly the space that we were looking for.
